41st ANNUAL STUDY SESSION
STRASBOURG, 5 - 30 July 2010
The International Institute of Human Rights organizes a specialized annual study session in human rights in Strasbourg during the month of July directed in particular to :
- advanced students in law, political science, human and
- social sciences, professors and researchers,
- members of the legal professions and any other profession related to human rights,
- national and international civil servants,
- members of non-governmental organizations.
Its purpose is to provide advanced courses in international and comparative human rights law taught by specialists from around the globe. |

The 41st study session is organized with the support of :
- French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs
- International Organisation of La Francophonie
- City of Strasbourg, City of Schiltigheim
- Department of Bas-Rhin
- Region Alsace
- International Committee of the Red Cross
- Centre régional des œuvres universitaires et scolaires
- University of Strasbourg
and also thanks to the contribution of the governments of Denmark, Luxembourg, Finland, of Foundations Lannung and Marangopoulos and individuals. |

ORGANIZATION
Admission
Admission of candidates is decided after careful review of their files by a Selection Committee headed by the Secretary General of the Institute.
• Conditions |
Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements :
- mastery of French or English, the session's two official languages, as well as an adequate working knowledge in the other language to follow the courses and debates.
- at least, holders of a four year university diploma (Master or equivalent)
- exceptionally, attest to a solid experience in the field of human rights acquired in governmental agencies, in inter or non governmental organizations or possess comparable experience. |

| All the required papers must be joined to the completed application for admission form. 2 universal postal coupons must accompany the completed files. |

| Registration fees : 670 €. |
For organizational reasons and in order to preserve the quality of teaching, the number of participants admitted to each session is limited. Needs and priorities in forming candidates originating from different countries and regions of the world (especially developing countries) are taken into consideration. Candidates will be informed in writing of their admission.
Every participant is required to have his own health/accident insurance coverage.The Institute cannot, in any case, be held responsible for medical expenses incurred during a participant's stay in Strasbourg. |
